christmas eve

today i must being my post with a story:

for as long as i can remember, christmas morning has been packed with people. some would drop in for a little, some brought over cookies, some stayed all day... but these people didn't just come over to visit, they all came for one reason: a turkey. father loves to cook, so for years he would buy and cook turkeys for friends, and even the harris teeter bakery lady. dad's entire christmas day revolved around cooking these turkeys and giving them to people. if you can't tell, he has a really giving heart - oh yeah, and he likes to cook! since father had turkeys all day and people were over, there wasn't really any room left for present opening or typical christmas day traditions at the wong household, but because of this, a new tradition was born: to presents at 12am (so santa could come, duh) on christmas morning. and, we have done so ever since.

this year, we may or may not have opened presents a little before midnight because mother does not care for this late night tradition as much as the rest of the family. nonetheless, merry christmas! here are my favorites from the night:

end note: i love my family. i love christmas. i love jesus for being born.
