today was mallard ball. for the time i was there, it was a lot of fun. i didn't actually make it to r&r thanks to my unidentified sickness. it seems to be ruining all the fun lately. but, i did get to partake in dinner, pregame festivities and picture taking!

today was the first club of the year! i'm excited to get back in the swing of things with young life. we had a fun time tonight, and i can't wait til next week.

today i am pleased to report that i am on the mends! i'm still not 100%, but i feel so so so much better! and, i'm going to go back to work tomorrow! i cannot tell you how exited i am. with all this time in bed, i've begun to get cabin fever. it's crazy.

today i got my ipad! i've been itching to have one to play with. derek constantly pulls his out during latin american politics, showing me the awesome apps he has, so i've been anxious to do some app shopping. anyways, it's been fun to mess around with this toy while being sick in bed. talk about perfect timing on buying one!

home sweet bed

today i'm posting a picture of my bed. it has been my home for the um, past 17 hours. i haven't felt the best, so i've been residing here. thank goodness it's super comfy and big and great and warm and every good attribute that exists.

dat muck wars!

today was muck wars for dat! i wasn't able to go because i've been sick, but from what i hear, it was a lot of fun and a lot of mess! syd came home a wee bit dirty!

happy birthdays

today ms. vicki, one of our chefs, made the most beautiful cake for the girls who had summer birthdays. she spent all day baking and decorating. she is so great, and such a joy to have around the house!

uhuru child: mcalisters

today at dinner, mcalisters gave 10% of their earnings to uhuru child. uhuru means freedom in swahili, and the organization is a non-profit that addresses the needs of children in under-developed countries. it was started by some of my friends here. check it out: uhuru child. anyways, the best way to fundraise is with food. so many people showed up tonight; the line was out the door. i have never seen mcalisters so crowded before!

adpi goes to maggiano's

today i'm blogging from yesterday... i promise to be caught back up after this. yesterday we had chapter retreat for adpi. we went to maggiano's, and it was absolutely grand! there is nothing better than good food with good friends for "free"!

saturday recap

today i am going to recap yesterday. it was certainly a busy... after i worked the tyler hansbrough event, i went with some of my housemates to eat with sydney's parents at the loop. delish. i got talked into going to the football game against uva in the "rain". surprisingly, i stayed the whole time. we had the brilliant idea to have a bonfire since it has been the perfect temperature for a fire, so we headed to the store to get a starter log, hot chocolate and apple cider. then, it was bonfire time!

tyler hansbrough

today tyler hansbrough came to performance bmw! he was there to sign autographs and take pictures as  a fundraiser for the lineberger cancer center. i got to be the "professional photographer" that took the pictures of him with the fans - best job ever!

today i got to go see gloriana and tyler hilton in concert. meredith college brought the musicians in, and it was only 8 dollars! such a steal! because of the weather, they had to move it to the indoor coliseum at the raleigh fair grounds. it was so much fun. i do love some country music. oh - and guess who i got to take a picture with? megan park aka grace from "the secret life of the american teenager." apparently, she's dating tyler hilton and had come to the show. yes, i was that person - the one who wants to get a picture... oh wait, i'm always that person!

today trinity went to tutti frutti! it was a lot of fun to get to hang out and eat frozen yogurt. everyone is getting so excited about rockbridge, and it is making so stoked!

today - or well the past few days, siddy has been found falling asleep all around mcmansion. yesterday i found her asleep on jessica's bed while a friends episode was on. today, she was on the couch... i wonder where she will be tomorrow?

today i'm going to post old pictures. oops. the other day - or more like a week or two ago - matt and harrison and seth came over and played some music for us. it was great. we sang and hung out and danced, all in my room.

unc vs rutgers: football

today was the first unc football game of junior year for me. i wasn't able to go last weekend, so i was super excited to be back in kenan and cheering on the tarheels.. there is something about the environment in the stadium that gives you a tingly feeling inside - everyone in carolina blue and singing carolina's praises.

today was the last and final day of rush aka pref night. i am so thankful that we will finally have a new pledge class, that i can actually go to bed at a normal hour and hang out with friends again! per usual,  here are some picture from the round!
