alice in wonderland

today trinity upper school put on the play alice in wonderland. it was exceptionally cast and the sets were beautiful. i cannot tell you how great it was - especially for a high school production. here are a few pictures that i took. (with no flash of course!)

end note: i think i may have spent more time at trinity this week than i have a unc. crazy.

bowling with DAT young life

today we took our young life kids bowling in durham. it was a lot of fun. bowling is certainly not my forte, but some of the kids were really good! there were lots of trick shots - or rolls... whatever you call them...

end note: i think boys are naturally better at bowling.

trinity soccer with jyoti

today i discovered i have allergies. i woke up with a massive headache and sore throat. but, i also discovered that allergy medicine solves that little problem. this afternoon trinity played burlington christian academy in soccer. i sat with my friend's little sister named jyoti - she's adopted from india. i was trying to take some pictures of the game, but she wanted pictures taken of her. so, of course i obliged...

end note: in case you were wondering, trinity won. i do believe it was 9-2, but don't quote me on it!

gimghoul

today sarah and i explored on gimghoul road. we found the best flower garden to take pictures of. (sorry janel) also, for anyone who doesn't know, i'm extremely intrigued by the gimghoul castle, so we went back to see that as well - and naturally, pictures ensued.

end note: sorry about all the flower pictures. but hey, after today's freezing weather, i won't be seeing many beautiful flowers for a while.

new leader placement

today dat got new baby leaders! aka today was new leader placement for durham-chapel hillsborough young life! we were all super stoked. we dressed up as different members of a family for cause you know we're just one big family at dat. we took the new babies to tour da and trinity and then headed to rob's house to eat a delicious dinner that he had cooked and then to watch the unc game.

end note: so glad to have kari, kyle and taylor on our team!

myrtle: day II

today sydney and i began our babysitting duties. this morning we hung out with 6 kiddos while their parents were in a session. they finished around lunchtime, and we were free for the afternoon. syd and i then proceeded to go out to the beach and then on to some really cute shops to browse. we got dinner at p.f. chang's and are currently resting up til tonight's babysitting duties.

end note: today while shopping i bought the book: 4000 questions for getting to know anyone and everyone. i am so excited!

myrtle: day I

today sydney and i embarked on our beach-babysitting journey to myrtle. we're helping out at a conference her church from home is hosting here. on the way to south carolina, we drove through this tiny town called fair bluff. the view was breathtaking, so obviously we pulled over and took some pictures.

end note: babysitting? at the beach? i don't think there could be a better place!

nails and racquetball

today i went with my friend abby to get our nails done. it was super nice to just sit and chat. on thursday nights, sarah and i play racquetball with peter and ben, and on our way in to the gym, we usually stop and see palmer. today palmer had the new ipad 2 at the desk with him. it was pretty nifty. oh yeah, and racquetball was pretty fun too.

end note: if you were wondering, ben and i dominated sarah and pete tonight in racquetball.

wickedly wonderful wednesday

today has been the most carefree day. i've read on the quad, basked in the sun on the quad and played frisbee on the quad. this afternoon i slowly meandered to adpi for chapter and took some pictures on the way. i got to play some doubles in tennis and spend some qt with my young life team at this great coffee shop. i'd have to say that all in all, wednesday has been plum splendid.
